Dwayne Glapion (b. 1973) is a dedicated artist who’s journey through the art world spans decades. With a lifelong passion for painting, he has immersed himself in the study of the masters, honing his skills and understanding of the craft. Starting with traditional media such as acrylics, oils, charcoal, and pencil, and now digital painting, Glapion has mastered various forms of expression.
In a unique fusion of techniques Glapion combines traditional painting methods with digital software, creating a harmonious blend of both worlds. This innovative approach allows him to harness the depth and texture of traditional media while embracing the versatility and precision of digital tools. Like using traditional tools, each digital brushstroke is hand painted (NOT A.I.) The result is a captivating body of work that showcases his creativity and adaptability.
His art often reflects themes of identity, inequality, and resilience, using vibrant colors and intricate compositions to draw the viewer in. Glapion’s work serves not only as a form of expression but also as a catalyst for conversation, pushing audiences to confront the realities of social injustice and the impact of systemic issues in contemporary society.
